SERIOUS: Congress attacks what Americans trust the most

Yes, The House of Representatives will vote on Thursday, June 23 regarding proposed cuts to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting [CPB]. CPB is the main federal source of funding for America's most trusted national institution, PBS.

The impact such cuts would have on children, families and local public stations are contrary to the educational services Americans believe in.

Take a few moments and read about public broadcasting and the Republican House's attack on public, non-commercial, non-political American institutions--PBS and NPR. If the House passes the cuts, the Senate will take up a vote later this summer--getting that far would represent a serious problem of misplaced values and inaction within citizens of this country.

So, do something!

- Contact your representatives
- Support your local providers of public radio and television services

I've said my piece.
