Where the Wild Things Are

"Warner Bros. has picked up the movie rights to Maurice Sendak's ever popular kid's book Where the Wild Things Are. The property was in turnaround from Universal, according to Variety. The project has been in play for a number of years with Spike Jonze signed on to direct the picture back in 2003, and is still attached. Jonze will direct the movie from a script penned by author Dave Eggers. First published in 1963, the movie version of Where the Wild Things Are is still to be produced by Playtone's Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman with Sendak and John Carls. Let the wild rumpus begin [sic]!"
